Welcome

Lindholme MSC is effectively the motor club for the Doncaster area. It was formed in 1965 by a group of motor sport enthusiasts from the former RAF Lindholme, and still proudly carries that name. We specialise in both Stage Rallies and Autotests but we are involved in lots more activities. LMSC marshals can be found on many rallies across the Midlands and the North.

Our main event is the Lincoln Green Stages Rally, at Fulbeck, Lincs (although it’s near Newark). Lindholme MSC has prompted single venue rallies since 2011, first at Blyton, followed by Melbourne. The Lindholme Classic Tour is a popular scenic run for all cars, but with an emphasis on historics, classics, sports cars, and any other “interesting” vehicle.

During the summer months we promote an Autotest championship, with events often on grass. It's mostly standard cars taking part, but occasionally a “special” emerges to compete. Some rounds are “borrowed” from our neighbouring clubs’ Autotests and Autosolos to broaden the appeal.

LMSC collaborates with four other clubs in the area (Sheffield & Hallam, Rotherham, Matlock and Worksop) in a friendly challenge series with 10 events spread over the year. Some are car-based, such as Autotests and Treasure Hunts, while others are more social, like tenpin bowling and quizzes. Slot car racing is another popular evening.

If any of this interests you, please do come to meet us on club nights. We meet on Wednesday evenings from 8.30pm at the Ivanhoe Inn, Sprotborough, Doncaster. Alternatively, send a message to the club secretary (see Contacts).
